What the site is

theDeals.co.za shows prices that we recorded on South African shops' own websites, with the date we saw each one. We are not a shop: we sell nothing, and every "See it at…" link takes you to the shop's own page.

Prices can change

Shops change their prices often, sometimes several times a day. The price on the shop's own page when you buy is the one that counts. Always check it there before you buy. We record prices carefully, but we cannot promise that every price, picture or description on this site is correct or current.

Grades and labels

Our grades (Stock up, Big drop, Good buy, Small drop) and labels such as "Raised before this sale" are our own assessment, worked out from the prices in our records. They are not advice to buy or not to buy.

Names, brands and pictures

Product names, brands and logos belong to their owners. Product pictures are the shops' or makers' own, shown only to identify the product, with a link to the shop. If you own a picture and want it removed, email admin@marxco.net and we will take it down.

Using our records

You are welcome to use the site for your own shopping and to share links to it. Please do not copy our price records in bulk or scrape the site.

Liability

The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it, or from a purchase you make at a shop.
